Good Stuff

I have been asked for information of baptism from time to time.  Here are some resources.  The sermon is by Dr. Tyson, one of my professors, at Arcade United Methodist Church.  It is a wonderful summary of baptism for United Methodists!  Definitely have a listen.

So I am looking into prayer beads for protestants.  When my son had his tonsils and adenoids removed a few months ago I took my great grandmother's rosary with me and prayed the Jesus prayer on it mixed with the "Our Father".  It was a wonderful way of releasing my worries to God while at the same time remaining in prayer and not letting the worry consume me.  I just found some interesting sites and listed them below with ideas on making and praying with them.

Here is one with a great idea for an easy to wear bracelet. http://melianofmaia.wordpress.com/2011/09/11/prayer-beads/#

This one is Anglican and looks a bit like a Catholic Rosary. http://www.talithagems.com/prayer_beads/anglican/protestant_prayer_beads_gallery.php

This one is the technical nitty gritty on actually making a set of prayer beads.
